We're looking for an Assistant Sustainability Consultant with a focus on Building Engineering to join our team in Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of sustainable building solutions, working alongside experienced consultants to help clients achieve their environmental and operational goals. You will contribute to projects that promote energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and advance green building practices across the region. Assist in conducting sustainability assessments and environmental impact analyses for building projects Support the development of green building strategies aligned with international standards such as LEED and BREEAM Analyze building systems and performance data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing sustainability recommendations and findings Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to understand project requirements and constraints Research and evaluate emerging sustainability technologies and building practices Support the coordination of sustainability initiatives and project timelines Contribute to the modeling and analysis of building performance metrics and carbon footprint calculations Assist in the preparation of sustainability certifications and compliance documentation Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate sustainability solutions Qualifications Knowledge of building sustainability standards and green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, or equivalent) Understanding of building engineering principles, systems, and design practices Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and environmental metrics Experience with sustainability assessment tools and software platforms Proficiency in technical writing and report preparation Familiarity with energy efficiency concepts and renewable energy systems Project coordination and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools Preferred: Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software Preferred: Knowledge of Hong Kong building codes and local environmental regulations Preferred: Experience in HVAC, lighting systems, or renewable energy design Preferred: Familiarity with carbon footprint analysis methodologies Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
