What you'll do
Docusign is looking for a Brand Strategist to serve as a key architect of our brand's long-term evolution. Working closely with our VP of Brand, you will bridge the gap between high-level market intelligence and world-class execution. You will be responsible for shepherding where the Docusign brand lives today as a category leader, to where it must go tomorrow, as a category platform owner, ensuring that every brand touchpoint is rooted in deep market insight and strategic intent. Following our award-winning rebrand in 2024, we are doubling down on our strong start and strategic positioning. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President, Brand & Creative.
Responsibility
Own and serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) of the day-to-day activity across the company of net-new product, feature, packaging, and other naming. Own the governance of naming and nomenclature across products and experiences, keeping documentation updated and helping teams align with our customer-first system Collaborate with Product Marketing (PMM) and Product teams to help reduce messaging fragmentation and ensure standard naming guidelines are followed. Work with product, product marketing, pricing, packaging, customer success, and other teams on naming Assist in the rollout and maintenance of our multi-year brand and category roadmap, supporting frameworks for brand positioning, architecture, and messaging Maintain and track baseline measurements for category and brand share of voice (SOV), helping to compile insights from our tracking infrastructure Assist in documentation and coordination for AI Surface Strategy initiatives across various strategic AI partners Help socialize and advocate for our verbal brand identity across the organization; review cross-functional assets and partner with copywriters to ensure tone alignment Help manage brand health and sentiment research projects, compiling raw data and transforming it into clear, digestible insights for stakeholders Act as a bridge between high-level strategy decks and creative execution, writing briefs for the brand team to create excellent creative outcomes Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing coordination, or account planning (in-house or agency side) Preferred Prior experience working within a B2B or SaaS environment Strong analytical mind: Comfortable working with data tools and research reports to pull out meaningful insights Excellent communication and storytelling skills: Ability to distill collaborative data into clear briefs that inspire design and copy teams Collaborative mindset: Skilled at organizing projects cross-functionally
