SUMMARY
The Engineering Governance & Project Controls Manager is responsible for implementing, and maintaining Integra’s global engineering governance, project controls, standards, procedures, and facility and equipment lifecycle documentation requirements. This role will drive consistent execution of engineering and capital projects across Integra sites through standardized processes and controls for project scope, cost, schedule, risk, change management, engineering documentation, project closeout, and lifecycle records. The Manager will serve as a key interface between Global Facilities Engineering, site Facilities and Engineering teams, Operations, Quality, EHS&S, Procurement, Legal, Finance, IT, and external engineering and construction partners. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Under direct supervision of Director of Global Facilities Engineering SUPERVISION EXERCISED Supervision of contractors / consultants as needed based on project workload.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Maintain global engineering governance standards, procedures, tools, and templates for capital project execution. Manage standardized project controls for scope, cost, schedule, risk, forecasting, change management, and performance reporting. Implement a consistent capital project stage-gate process from project initiation through design, execution, commissioning, turnover, and closeout. Provide technical and governance leadership for multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and project lifecycle activities. Serve as a primary interface between Integra and external engineering, architectural, construction, and technical service providers. Lead global documentation efforts for facility engineering, construction, commissioning, validation, and project lifecycle activities. Establish and maintain global engineering documentation and CAD standards, including document structure, naming, revision control, storage, retention, and project turnover requirements. Partner with Quality, EHS&S, Procurement, Finance, IT, and site teams to ensure engineering projects meet applicable business, regulatory, and operational requirements. Evaluate and implement technology solutions, including technical drawing databases and engineering administration platforms, to improve document management, data integrity, and operational efficiency. Support development and administration of the Integra Facilities Management System, including engineering standards, SOPs, work instructions, forms, and templates. Provide project and portfolio reporting, identify systemic gaps, and drive continuous improvement and global standardization across Facilities and Engineering. REQUIRED SKILLS & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent.
Experience
10+ years of experience in engineering, preferably within medical device companies or regulated environments. 3–5 years of project management experience in engineering/manufacturing environments, with working knowledge of Engineering Change Controls, ISO, QSR, and design control procedures. Demonstrated experience with project controls including scope, cost, schedule, forecasting, risk, and change management. Working knowledge of engineering change control, quality management systems, QMSR, and applicable design/change-control requirements.
