Job Description
On behalf of CUBIC, a Rockwell Automation company, we are looking for a Senior Development Engineer to join our R&D team in Brønderslev. In this role, you will contribute to the development of CUBIC's modular low-voltage switchboard systems, including mechanical structures, busbar systems, and related components. Working closely with colleagues, customers, and relevant stakeholders, you will help develop robust, safe, and practical solutions that meet the needs of customers worldwide. As a Senior Development Engineer , you will become part of a skilled R&D team of 13 colleagues in Denmark and collaborate with engineering teams across Rockwell Automation's global organization. The role combines technical product development with stakeholder collaboration, offering the opportunity to influence and create products that form an important part of CUBIC's future portfolio. Reporting to the R&D Manager , you will work on a range of development projects, from improvements to existing products to new product development initiatives. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, you may take full ownership of a development project from concept to implementation or contribute as a key technical team member on larger development programmes. In all cases, you will play an active role in driving technical solutions, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring progress throughout the development process.
Your responsibilities
Develop and design components and systems for low-voltage switchboard solutions Maintain and further develop CUBIC's existing product portfolio Develop solutions for specific customer needs and market requirements Design and validate mechanical structures, busbar systems, and related components with consideration for functionality, electrical performance, serviceability, safety, and manufacturability. Ensure product designs comply with relevant standards and certification requirements, including IEC and UL Participate in cross-functional development projects across the organization Act as a technical specialist within selected areas of expertise and support colleagues across the business Your role will combine hands-on product development with coordination across teams and stakeholders . Alongside your colleagues in Denmark, you will work closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and commercial teams across the international organization. The Essentials - You Will Have: You have a relevant technical education , ideally within Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline. You bring experience from a similar role within technical product development, where you have contributed to the development of industrial products and successfully driven development activities from concept through implementation. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Experience working with products that must comply with standards and regulations such as IEC, UL or DNV is considered an advantage. Strong experience with 3D CAD design tools is beneficial, and familiarity with low-voltage switchboard systems, busbar systems, or related power distribution products would be a strong advantage This is an opportunity to join an experienced development team and contribute to products that are used
