We are seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Cash Management to join Global Liquidity Operations (GLO), part of the broader Payments Operations Service Delivery Group within the Payments Enablement Platform. Global Liquidity Operations operates in a highly time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment where attention to detail, accuracy, and timely escalation are critical. The Frankfurt- and Brussels-based liquidity team manages liquidity across BNY’s direct connections to T2 and TIPS, supporting BNY’s EUR payment flows and overseeing the related governance framework. The team works closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Operations teams, Corporate Treasury, Finance, and Central Bank contacts, to ensure effective and efficient settlement. The successful candidate will serve as a Workflow Coordinatorbased in the Brussels office, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Frankfurt and Brussels liquidity team. The individual will also contribute to the execution of the Global Liquidity Operations strategy by identifying process improvement opportunities, driving efficiency through automation and system enhancements, and supporting incident managementactivities. This role will also act as the primary owner of SWIFT Payment Control Services (PCS) within Cash Operations, supporting compliance with European Central Bank requirements for BNY SA/NV, the European Bank. The process is designed to prevent unwanted outflows from the European Bank. Main responsibilities cover strong operating arrangements, robust governance, and continuous training in this area. The position will also provide dedicated support for Project Rubik and other strategic change initiatives. Although the role is based in Brussels, it requires strong interaction, coordination, and collaboration with colleagues across global locations. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day workflow activities for the Frankfurt and Brussels liquidity team. Manage liquidity across BNY’s direct connections to T2 and TIPS to support EUR payment flows. Ensure adherence to governance, control, and escalation requirements in a time-sensitive operational environment. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations, Corporate Treasury, and Finance, as well as external Central Bank contacts. Support the implementation of the Global Liquidity Operations strategy. Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements. Participate in and support incident management activities. Own and oversee the SWIFT PCS process in Cash Operations, including governance and training. Provide dedicated support for Project Rubik and other strategic change initiatives. Work closely with global teams to ensure effective coordination across locations.
Required Experience
5–7 years of experience in cash management and payment operations. Strong knowledge of EUR cash clearing processes and T2 / TIPS operations. Experience supporting operational change, projects, or process improvement initiatives. Proven ability to manage business-as-usual priorities alongside project-related deliverables. Experience investigating operational issues and driving resolution across multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with risk, control, and compliance requirements in an operational banking environment. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of cash management and payment operations. Knowledge of T2 and TIPS processing and related market infrastructures. Knowledge of SWIFT Payment Control Services. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
