What We Need: Multiple Positions Available COMPANY: McKesson Corporation POSITION: Sr. IT Architect LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039 JOB DUTIES: Leading the innovation, design and implementation of new architecture and solutions using modern architecture patterns. Designing and implementing standard methodologies and repeatable process constructs to scale and harden our services ecosystem. Leading and coaching software engineers to deliver highly available, reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions. Accountable for architecture and oversight of highly available, highly reliable products. 100% telecommuting allowed from any location in the U.S. 10% domestic travel required.

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. ALTERNITAVELY , Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Applicant must have five (5) years demonstrated experience in each of the following: Designing, developing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web applications. Applicant must have two (2) years demonstrated experience in each of the following: Java, ReactJS, Gradle, Confluent/Kafka, Python 3.10 or later, Spring boot, Struct, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SOLR, Elastic, MongoDB, K8S/GKE/AKS, Docker Swarm, and Jenkins/Github Actions/Github Advanced Security. Web front-end development technologies using JavaScript, React, Angular, NodeJs, and HTML/CSS. Agile methodology. All phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and source management. Translating sophisticated functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design. Designing systems with high performance, scalability and availability. Creating and implementing event driven architectures. Public cloud environments Azure, GCP, and AWS. Multiple Azure services using AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure Event Hubs. Designing and building RESTful APIs and managing cloud application security. Docker and Kubernetes and scalable system architecture, resilience, and performance optimization.
