Standard Job Description Operate a Technical Documentation Center as the central repository and distribution center for all program specific engineering drawings, technical procedures, customer released publications and specifications. Provide and monitor change control for technical and customer documents and procedures for Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Navy customers. Survey classified document control records, reconcile discrepancies and process classified and unclassified documents to program specific users in compliance with company and customer security regulations. Coordinate the maintenance, distribution and change control of all accountable classified and unclassified documents assigned to the facility. Coordinate and oversee the work performed by Technical Documentation Control Clerks to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements. Coordinate documentation requirements with Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Navy customers including supervisory personnel for these groups. Receive, maintain and distribute engineering and Navy procedures, publications and related engineering documentation. Coordinate document processing and distribution schedules to meet customer requirements. Act as a resource for the documentation needs of all Technical Documentation used and processed at the facility. Prepare new and modified documentation control procedures to implement contractual changes. Coordinate and establish documentation distribution lists. Receive, review and check engineering drawings according to the sequence of engineering release. Initiate and follow-up requests for additional documentation from Weapon Spec. Libraries and Navy vendors/sources. Initiate microfilm requests and blueprint copies from reproduction consistent with internal documentation distribution requirements. Reconcile accountable classified document files, records, logs and registers. Investigate missing and incomplete classified documents with using organization custodians. Process classified documents and records which require special or unconventional handling as established by the customer and company. Operate microfilm print equipment, automated data terminals and standard desktop computer software spread sheets and data systems. Perform data research in Engineering Document Status (EDS) databases. Basic Qualifications Knowledge of engineering release systems; technical nomenclature, symbols and codes; and blueprint control operating policies and procedures. Ability to operate/use microfilm print equipment, automated data terminals and standard MAC and PC based computer software spread sheets and data systems. Knowledge of specialized clerical filing, document cataloging and routing systems for control of documents and publication. Knowledge of classified documentation control and processing requirements. Demonstrated customer relations skills and verbal and written communication skills.
