We are seeking a Senior Cloud Technology Engineer with extensive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining large‑scale, mission‑critical systems for government customers. Ideal candidates will have a background supporting Air Traffic Control (ATC) or other aviation‑related domains where reliability, security, and compliance are essential.
What You Will Do
Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for high‑availability government systems. Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy systems to modern cloud platforms. Ensure systems meet stringent government security, regulatory, and performance requirements. Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, security, and program teams to deliver resilient and compliant cloud solutions. Develop automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions to support scalable deployments. Troubleshoot complex system issues across distributed cloud environments. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers. Support program reviews, design sessions, and technical documentation for government stakeholders.
Qualifications
You Must Have : Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or systems engineering. Hands-on experience with large-scale government systems, preferably within FAA or other ATC-related programs. Expertise with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM). Proven ability to design highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architectures.
Qualifications
We Prefer : Experience working directly in Air Traffic Control or aviation technology domains. Knowledge of NAS systems, FAA programs, or similar mission-critical environments. Familiarity with real-time and safety-critical systems. Deep understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards applicable to government systems (FedRAMP, NIST). Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.
