Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for this position is a positive self-driven professional who possesses a combination of business acumen, technical and interpersonal skills who will: Supervise hourly water-cooled quality technicians (both shifts) Lead problem-solving teams to analyze and resolve internal/external issues Proactively identify & lead first pass yield improvement projects Lead and/or participate in scrap reduction and process improvement projects with other functions Participate in Design Reviews, PFMEA and Control Plan development and plan appropriate actions to reduce RPN Proactively investigate ways to improve the process to reduce waste, scrap, and customer escapes Track and Report Quality KPIs for the respective area Organize and present data to management for decision making Comply with all the company and departmental policies and procedures and creating/updating as required. Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager Lead/ Support product containment with operations/ warehouse support Coordination and performance of internal layered process audits Manage product auditors and conduct same when required. Complete capability studies and monitor control of key product characteristics Oversees and drives the adherence to ASME Pressure Vessels in accordance with section VIII, Division 1 Required Qualifications 3+ years (with a Bachelor’s degree) or 5+ years (with a High School Diploma/GED) of Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications 2+ Years of supervisor experience 2+ Years of working with welding processes and ASME Code 1 + years of experience in ISO 9001 auditing, GD&T, AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans), cross-functional 8D problem-solving (5-Why, Fishbone, FTA), and statistical data analysis (Minitab, DOE) for continuous improvement. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture diversity, equity and inclusion Understanding of ASME pressure vessel requirements. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent experience Physically capable of working in a fast-paced, stop-and-go manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and written documentation practices Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. Other Compensation This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
