Job Description
Dateline NBC is seeking a creative Assistant Producer to produce and grow engaging digital content across platforms.
Responsibilities
Review story submissions, answer DMs, and flag stories to pitch Monitor comments across social media accounts Check NBCnews.com for articles that align with our content to share on our accounts Assist in creating and publishing content on Dateline’s social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok. Input metadata for upcoming broadcasts Cut and archive digital library of Dateline full episodes Keep running list of aired episodes, content restrictions, and social media content created for each episode Assist with music cue sheets for each episode Write recap articles for recent episodes Write articles for Dateline's "Cold Case Spotlight" and "Missing in America” series Interact live with followers from the Dateline social media account during episodes while the show is on the air on the East Coast Learn and execute Dateline’s voice seamlessly across all social platforms Collaborate with sales, analytics, marketing, product and press teams to optimize Dateline campaigns and content on social platforms PLEASE NOTE: This is a short-term position with an estimated duration of 24 months or less, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of newsroom and reporting experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field Video editing experience Knowledge of WildMoka, Premiere, and MPX systems Strong multitasking and project coordination skills Working knowledge of CMS systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Interest in criminal justice/legal system Additional Requirements: Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time. What we’ll offer: Production Employee (PEP) Regular who works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period: Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment Salary range: $26/hr - $31/hr Additional
