Your Team, Your Impact CV Team Description The Chip Validation team is responsible for validating Marvell's cutting-edge networking SoCs after tape-out. The team develops automated validation solutions, executes system-level testing, analyzes complex failures, and works closely with Architecture, Design, Firmware, and Software teams to ensure high-quality silicon delivery. Team members gain exposure to advanced networking technologies, post-silicon validation methodologies, AI-driven engineering workflows, large-scale automation frameworks, and state-of-the-art validation labs. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented System Validation Student to join our VLSI Chip Validation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating complex switch designs, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability across various use cases. This role involves hands-on work with Python scripting, test automation, and usage of traffic generation tools such as Ixia. What You Can Expect Design and implement test plans and validation suites for networking switch features. Develop scalable test automation frameworks using Python. Execute validation tests, analyze results, investigate and debug hardware, software, and system-level failures, and drive root-cause analysis. Interface with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams. Understand end-to-end system scenarios.
What We're Looking For
2nd/3rd year Student for B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years before graduation. Hands-on experience in automation development (Python, C++). Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI-assisted development tools for test creation, automation, debugging, and engineering productivity. Self-learning skills and highly motivated to achieve project goals. Well-organized documentation and research process. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to understand complex systems from a high-level architectural perspective while paying attention to implementation details.
