Introduction to the Team: At Expedia Group, Data and Analytics are the core of all our strategy and decisions, responsible for the impactful insights that guide and optimize our global sales performance. Our team helps the commercial operations organization drive transformational projects across the Sales organization. By joining our team as a Data Scientist II, Commercial Operations Analytics, you will put your problem-solving skills to a challenge and contribute to enhancing the Account Management space at EG. To achieve this, you will build a relationship of trust with stakeholders across Account Management, Commercial Operations, Data Engineering, Machine Learning Science and Product & Tech; and will have the opportunity to produce and deliver insights to commercial leaders. In this role, you will: Use your creativity and commercial acumen to frame business challenges as analytical problems and apply problem solving techniques to break it down into concrete set of analytical tasks Extract data from multiple data sources and combine them into the required datasets Apply analytics techniques to deliver insights supporting decision-making of account management stakeholders Engage broadly and proactively with the organization to identify and prioritize operational challenges Articulate confidently decision-making rationale, methodology and recommendation to both technical and non-technical partners, using clear and compelling storytelling in presentations Who you are: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline or equivalent experience Preferred: 2 to 5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering insights that drive business impact. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to frame complex business problems as analytical tasks.
