DaVita’s Payor Partnerships team manages a $7B portfolio of commercial revenue and a high-growth, national value-based care business that encompasses more than 200K lives and over $5B of medical spend. The Payor Partnerships leaders make up a highly motivated, fast-paced team with extensive experience in negotiations, managed care, finance, and consulting, and are at the center of DaVita’s strategy to evolve from fee-for-service reimbursement to value-based care. The Value Based Care Strategy & Payor Partnerships Manager is a key member of this team, with primary responsibilities of supporting senior executives in the underwriting, negotiation, and execution of highly complex value-based care arrangements with DaVita’s payor partners. Critical to success in this role is an ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple work streams across actuary, finance, operations, legal, and business development. This includes supporting strategy formulation, business development, and the delivery of a variety of innovative integrated care partnerships (pay-for-performance, shared savings, and capitation). Other special projects will include strategy work related to DaVita’s broader commercial health plan portfolio.

Description and Responsibilities Support all aspects of the value-based care deal negotiation process, including contracting and negotiation strategy, financial analysis and pricing insights, and project management Responsible for all negotiation analytics, including partnering closely with DaVita’s actuarial team, developing financial impact models in coordination with our analyst team, and building ad-hoc analyses independently, as needed Engage broader team with thoughtful and creative value-based care financial structures to support payor negotiations Perform ad-hoc strategic analyses that answer sometimes ambiguous but critical questions and inform our overall negotiation strategy Present analysis findings and conclusions to senior executives in a structured and comprehensive way Support senior executives to create both internal and external strategic and financial meeting materials that are persuasive and direct Build robust and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders to drive successful completion of deal negotiations and contracting Project manage independently and operate under tight timelines, as necessary Minimum Qualifications Strong quantitative and analytical skills Experience in corporate development, business development, investment banking, consulting or adjacent fields Thrives in high-intensity environments with fast-paced deliverables Growth Mindset Demonstrated experience in solving complex problems Comfortable navigating ambiguous challenges Ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leadership Desired Traits and Skills Action-oriented doer who sees themselves as a combination of contributor and leader as they move their organization successfully down strategic pathways High degree of creativity, intelligence, and curiosity.
