Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of financial analysis and planning
Strong knowledge of budgeting and expense management
In depth knowledge of budget system in order to assist business units and gather data for review and analysis
Knowledge and demonstrated experience performing financial analyses and quantitative business-based analyses; ability to prepare trend analyses using internal and external information to demonstrate relevant changes and recommend improvements or solutions
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT), and IRS guidelines
Understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with different areas/levels within the organization
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong data analysis skills used to research, interpret, and present findings
Understanding of business fundamentals and an understanding of qualitative and quantitative business-based analysis and metrics
Ability to work independently under deadline pressure with competing priorities
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field 6 years of professional job-related work experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Education & Experience Preferred
Insurance industry experience
