Amazon Web Services is looking for senior engineers to help us define and build the future of computing. The AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) service delivers high performance virtualized storage "in the cloud" for EC2. Data service offerings are the differentiating factor that drive customer adoption of AWS and EBS within public cloud marketplace. As a member of the EBS team you'll work alongside bar-raising engineers and leaders to develop and operate one of the largest distributed storage systems in the world. We strive to delight our customers with features that simplify their business and operational workflows while staying conformant to security and performance requirements Key job responsibilities You will work with a high performance C++ software stack to reduce latency measured at microsecond scale. You will design and solve for performance, availability and scalability problems. You will have opportunities to develop software on the latest platforms and drive the roadmap for the next generation. You will have an immediate impact on millions of customers, improving their experience as their applications run in the AWS Cloud. About the team
The AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) Data Services team is comprised of a diverse set of deep systems level software experts. We are responsible for the movement and transformation of data between the EBS storage primitives of volumes and snapshots. We own everything from the long term roadmap, design, implementation, and testing to the day to day monitoring and observability of the system. Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
