Job Family : Systems & Business Integration Consulting Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : Ability to Obtain Secret What You Will Do : Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders. Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for development teams. Conduct requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions. Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation. Create and maintain system requirement specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices. Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, testers, and business teams to ensure alignment on scope and priorities. Support solution design by clarifying requirements and ensuring proposed solutions meet business needs. Participate in testing activities, including reviewing test cases, validating functionality against requirements, and supporting UAT. Monitor changes, manage requirement updates, and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle. What You Will Need : Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred. Bachelor's degree THREE (3) or more years gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements, workflows or processes including using requirements management tools including but not limited to JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, ReqIF, etc.) What Would Be Nice To Have : Experience in business process modeling (e.g., BPMN, UML). Exposure to system architecture or data architecture concepts. Knowledge of user experience practices or involvement in user story mapping. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into structured requirements. Experience working as a business analyst, systems analyst, requirements analyst, or similar role. Proficiency in documenting business processes, workflows, and functional requirements. Ability to facilitate meetings, communicate with stakeholders, and build consensus. Understanding of SDLC, system design principles, and Agile or Waterfall methodologies. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver clear documentation under tight deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Familiarity with testing approaches, QA processes, or writing test cases. Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, or Agile-related credentials (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner). Experience with SQL or basic data analysis for validating system outputs.
