Standard Job Description Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. May use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery. Long Description Key Responsibilities: Material Planning and Analysis: Analyze material requirements to align with the Master Plan Schedule and ensure on-time delivery to support production goals. Communication and Coordination: Provide precise and timely information on all parts supporting the plan to the Operations team, ensuring clarity and alignment across departments. Expediting Critical Parts: Identify and expedite any parts that may cause production delays, working proactively to mitigate risks and maintain schedule adherence. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend meetings with the purchasing department to obtain commit dates for material deliveries and report findings to all relevant stakeholders. Shipping Documentation: Prepare detailed shipping documents for all outbound deliveries of parts in process and completed assemblies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Problem Resolution: Address material shortages, delays, or discrepancies by collaborating with suppliers, purchasing, and operations teams to implement corrective actions. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material status, delivery schedules, and production impacts, providing regular updates to management and other interested parties. Basic Qualifications Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably within an MRO or manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
