About this role

About the Team

HubSpot’s Downmarket Product Org is responsible for overseeing our broader portfolio of freemium products - shaping the core product experience and powering every key moment in the customer lifecycle, from the first interaction through long term retention and expansion.

We are scaling our Monetization function within this team. The group will focus on one of the most important and interesting challenges in software today: determining how to help customers discover and purchase your product in the age of AI and Agents, for headless and UI-based use cases, and with credits as an emerging pricing model.

About the Role

The traditional PLG monetization model was built for a world of static, tier-based upgrades accessed through a point-and-click UI. We are moving toward agent-based, credit-priced products distributed across multiple surfaces - including APIs and LLM interfaces - and our buying strategy must evolve to match.

As a Staff Product Manager for Monetization and Product Led Growth, you will own the evolution of this buying experience. This will include two charters:

• Being the single person who can oversee the entire end-to-end buying journey across various prospect and customer touchpoints

• Rebuilding our monetization infrastructure from static upgrade prompts in HubSpot’s UI, to agentically delivered, just-in-time, contextual upgrade moments delivered both in-app and via LLM interfaces. We will define and build the capabilities to recommend and sell the right product to the right customer at the right time, agnostic of whether they are using HubSpot in our app or via MCP.

What You Will Do

• You will own the buying, product discovery, and upgrade experience across HubSpot. You will be the single Product Manager accountable for how customers move from our freemium funnel to the solutions that best meet their needs.

• You will define HubSpot’s Product Led Monetization strategy for the AI era. This includes evolving from static upgrade triggers to personalized, context aware upgrade moments powered by large language models and delivered through conversational assistants and MCP. You will help define what an upgrade moment looks like and means when users don’t have a traditional UI to interact with and monetization becomes more usage-based.

• You will partner with product teams across HubSpot to align buying patterns and create a coherent, consistent customer experience across the platform.

• You will work closely with go to market teams on pricing launches, upgrade campaigns, and customer communication strategies related to driving monetization.

• You will present strategies, progress, and results to senior leaders, including members of the executive team.

What We Are Looking For

• You have owned monetization or the buying experience for a software as a service product. This is a core area of expertise for you.

• You have worked on a product with credit based, usage based, or outcome based pricing. You understand how these models affect both how a product is built and how it is sold.

• You have driven alignment across multiple product groups without relying on direct authority. You know how to influence decisions, build commitment, and move teams toward a shared outcome.

• You have meaningful AI product experience. You have worked on or alongside products built around artificial intelligence, and you understand how large language models are changing product strategy, customer expectations, and business models.

• You bring strong business model fluency. You can think strategically about pricing, packaging, monetization, and go to market motions, not only feature roadmaps.

• You have worked in both a scaled organization and a more entrepreneurial environment. You can navigate the complexity of a large company while
