AECOM's environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks, including obtaining permits and approvals, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience. We focus on preserving habitats, water quality, stakeholder engagement and cultural resources, promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage. How you’ll make a difference • Deliver contaminated land and hydrogeology investigations and monitoring, combining site work in metro and remote locations with concise analysis and reporting. • Plan and manage site works and subcontractors while leading safety, quality, and compliance in line with AECOM procedures and industry standards. • Interpret environmental and hydrogeological data and prepare PSIs, DSIs, SAQPs, validation reports, and RAPs that inform client decisions. • Support project delivery as a deputy project manager, coordinating with clients and internal teams while assisting with project controls and finances. Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. • A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, geoscience, geology, engineering or hydrogeology, with 3 - 10 years experience across contaminated land and/or hydrogeology. • Proven HSEQ mindset and eye for detail, prioritising safe field practice and focusing on quality. • Competent in broad range of site works and collection of environmental data. • Confident engagement and management of subcontractors (e.g., drilling, wireline, pumping tests), demonstrating clear communication, client service and on‑site leadership. • Strong data management and analysis using industry tools (e.g., gINT, ESdat/EQuIS, Aqtesolv, Surfer, Grapher). • Competent in technical report writing, with ownership of deliverables. • Project management experience across all aspects of project delivery. • Experience in client management and collaboration, including business development
