Description The Senior Lead, Finance Platform Engineering provides engineering leadership and is accountable for the successful realization, governance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise Finance platform portfolio. This role provides day-to-day leadership for the Finance Platform Engineering organization while executing approved platform strategy through engineering realization, modernization planning, platform optimization, business engagement, and long-term platform health. Reporting to the Executive Director, ERP & Value Chain Platform Engineering, the Senior Lead partners closely with Finance Product and Technology leaders, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Business Services (EBS), Operations & Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and strategic technology partners to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable Finance capabilities that support global business operations. This role provides engineering leadership across SAP ECC and related Finance platforms while overseeing engineering realization of approved business requirements and solution designs through Enterprise Business Services (EBS), strategic partners, and cross-functional engineering teams. The Senior Lead ensures engineering quality, delivery excellence, platform stability, production readiness, and continuous improvement while supporting modernization initiatives, platform optimization, and long-term lifecycle management. The Senior Lead also provides engineering leadership across Finance platforms by proactively managing engineering risks, technical dependencies, delivery readiness, and platform health while ensuring engineering execution aligns with approved solution designs, enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and enterprise engineering practices. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering leadership, deep SAP Finance expertise, and enterprise platform experience with the ability to balance technical leadership, organizational development, engineering partnership, and engineering excellence across a complex global Finance landscape. Key Roles & Responsibilities Engineering Realization, Delivery Leadership & Platform Stewardship (40%) Provide day-to-day leadership for the Finance Platform Engineering organization, including direct leadership of Finance Platform Engineering Managers, while executing approved platform strategy through engineering realization, modernization delivery, platform optimization, lifecycle execution, and long-term platform health. Lead engineering realization across Enterprise Business Services (EBS), strategic technology partners, and cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring successful delivery of approved business requirements and solution designs through high-quality engineering execution and production readiness. Provide engineering leadership across core Finance capabilities including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (AA), Controlling (CO), Treasury, Financial Close, and Finance integrations. Partner with the Executive Director, Finance Product and Technology leaders, and Enterprise Architecture to execute approved engineering roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and long-term platform lifecycle plans.
