Replacemement Position Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Qualcomm is seeking a highly motivated software engineer with a strong interest in semiconductors and hardware to join its Software Infrastructure team. In this role, you will collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware engineers to develop tools that accelerate firmware development, chip characterization, test execution, software development kit (SDK) delivery, and graphical user interface (GUI) development. You will work closely with teams across Firmware, Design Verification, Systems, Silicon Validation, Product Engineering, and DevOps. What you’ll be doing: Full stack development using JavaScript (React, Node, NextJS), Python, C, and C++, MongoDB and Postgres Building CI/CD systems (Gitlab/Github/Jenkins and custom) Building GUIs to support our silicon for internal teams Building CLIs to automate tasks and streamline processes and internal workflows Defining schemas and data organization to centralize how we collect and view data across different semiconductor technologies, product lines and hardware tests Architecting our software development kit and regression infrastructure to support all our product lines, chips, and semiconductor IPs Developing test strategies, automated regression and QA tools, performance visualization of our silicon Collecting and analyzing data on our software infrastructure to help define KPIs for improvement Working closely with team members to troubleshoot and triage issues related with new SW updates coverage Collaborate closely with other teams to collect requirements and build new tooling where necessary Track execution with standard software ticketing systems like Linear, Jira, Confluence and Git/Github/Gitlab What You'll Need: Student of B.Sc. or equivalent experience in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Communication Engineering with 2+ years of professional experience in software development with JavaScript, React, Redux, Python, and C/C++.
