Job Description and Requirements
We Are Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You Are You have spent years in the trenches of CFD simulation, solving real engineering problems where the stakes are high and the physics are messy. You know that fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics are not just textbook concepts but tools that help customers design better turbines, optimize cooling systems, or predict multiphase behavior in chemical reactors. The thrill for you is not just running the simulation, it is sitting across from an engineer who has been stuck for weeks and showing them a path forward that actually works. You are comfortable moving between deep technical work and customer conversations. One day you are debugging a conjugate heat transfer setup in Fluent, the next you are presenting to a VP of Engineering about how simulation can compress their product development cycle by six months. You do not need a perfect handoff to get started. You ask the right questions, scope the problem, and deliver solutions that customers can actually use. Teaching energizes you. Whether it is a training session for a new user or mentoring a junior engineer on your team, you find clarity in explaining complex ideas simply. At Synopsys, you will work with customers across automotive, aerospace, energy, and electronics industries, and what you build and solve will directly influence how they bring products to market.
What You'll Be Doing
Work directly with customers to diagnose complex engineering challenges and deliver simulation-based solutions using Ansys CFD tools including Fluent, CFX, Discovery, and Rocky Support sales teams in technical campaigns by articulating value propositions, running proof-of-concept demonstrations, and presenting to executive-level audiences on how simulation solves their business problems Scope, plan, and deliver professional services engagements that may include collaborative projects with field engineers across disciplines and geographies Teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced training classes on CFD workflows, meshing techniques, and simulation best practices to customer teams Gather customer requirements and translate them into actionable product feedback for Ansys development teams, and test new software releases on industrial-scale problems Own customer relationships for selected accounts, proactively engaging to understand their design workflows, technical roadblocks, and long-term simulation needs Mentor team members, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and participate in cross-discipline initiatives to share best practices and build reusable solutions The Impact You Will Have Accelerate customer product development cycles by delivering simulation solutions that replace costly physical prototypes and testing Drive software revenue growth by helping sales teams close complex deals through technical credibility and tailored demonstrations Shape the future of Ansys CFD products by channeling real-world customer challenges and requirements directly to product development teams Expand the technical capability of customer engineering teams through high-quality training that builds long-term simulation competency Strengthen customer satisfaction and retention by providing expert-level support that solves problems other engineers cannot Build a knowledge base and mentorship culture within the applications engineering team that raises the technical bar across the organization Enable customers across automotive, aerospace, energy, and electronics industries to innovate faster and
