Summary The Senior Functional Engineer will serve as a hands-on technical contributor within the Technology Services Procurement delivery team, developing and supporting reliable solutions that integrate supplier and procurement data across ERP platforms, databases, middleware, APIs, and external applications. Working closely with product owners, business partners, analysts, and other engineers, this role will translate requirements and data mappings into scalable technical implementations; complete data migrations, validation, reconciliation, testing, and deployment activities; and tackle complex application, integration, and data-related issues. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and development skills with attention to data integrity, operational reliability, documentation, and continuous improvement, while quickly learning new business processes and technologies in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data integration solutions that move supplier and procurement data between ERP platforms, middleware services, databases, APIs, and external applications. Complete historical and incremental data loads, including source-data profiling, transformation, payload generation, validation, reconciliation, exception analysis, and business sign-off support. Translate business requirements and source-system data structures into clear field mappings, transformation rules, technical designs, acceptance criteria, and supportable implementations. Build and maintain reusable processing components, mappings for driving logic, scripts, database objects, utilities, and report outputs that reduce manual effort and accelerate implementation. Perform hands-on analysis and resolution of development, test, UAT, production, performance, and data-quality issues; collaborate with application support and engineering teams on complex incidents. Verify data completeness and accuracy across source and target systems, produce clear reconciliation evidence, and maintain traceable documentation supporting controls and audits. Generate technical requirements documentation, operational procedures, mapping specifications, test evidence, and support knowledge articles that enable repeatable delivery and reliable transition to operations. Partner directly with product analysts, technical product owners, business process owners, ERP teams, external application teams, and other engineers to clarify requirements and deliver working solutions. Participate actively in Agile delivery by refining backlog items, estimating work, completing development and testing tasks, communicating risks, and meeting agreed sprint and release commitments.
