SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER 2     The Role AMD is seeking a highly skilled Member of Technical Staff (MTS) to join our Automation team, focusing on FPGA/EDA flows and Linux-based automation . You will work with cutting-edge hardware and software technologies to design, develop, and optimize automation frameworks that improve performance, scalability, and reliability across key applications and benchmarks. The Person We are looking for someone passionate about software engineering, with strong technical skills to drive complex issues to resolution. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, communicates effectively across diverse teams, and demonstrates ownership, accountability, and a data-driven mindset.

Collaborate with AMD’s software, DevOps, and verification teams to achieve target goals. Design, develop, and maintain automation for the team along with technically contributing to innovative solutions. Create and enhance testcases to strengthen regression suites and prevent failures. Analyze and debug SW regression testcase failures, performing deep root-cause analysis. Develop automation scripts and frameworks using Python and Bash. Drive automation initiatives across FPGA flows to enhance efficiency and scalability. Required Skills & Qualifications Good knowledge and hands-on in Agentic AI. Good understanding of FPGA/EDA flows, RTL digital design, and timing analysis. Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation . Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

0-2 years of experience in FPGA/EDA software tools and flows. Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline, with experience handling complex issues related to FPGA flows and automation systems. Soft Skills Strong ownership and accountability. Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence technical decisions. Clear and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
