About this role
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced technology leader to serve as a Specialist ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) within our Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) practice. This is a role requiring deep expertise in Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SC&MFG) — spanning both Manufacturing (manufacturing execution, process control, quality systems, CMC orchestration) and Supply Chain (planning, logistics, procurement, distribution) — and the ability to flex across both domains. The role focuses on Industrial IoT (IIoT), data foundation, and intelligent-automation architectures that unlock manufacturing and supply chain data for AI-native workflows, powered by AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI. In this position, you'll serve as both a deep domain expert and a hands-on solution architect, counseling senior executives at the world's leading pharmaceutical and life sciences companies on designing AI-driven transformation programs that span the manufacturing-to-supply-chain continuum — e.g., IIoT and edge data architectures, manufacturing data lake and digital twin solutions, MES/MOM modernization, CMC orchestration platforms, and agentic supply chain planning. You'll develop innovative go-to-market (GTM) strategies and perspectives on how AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI unlock value from the shop floor to the distribution network, creating repeatable solutions and accelerators that scale across HCLS customers. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the ProServe HCLS team and external Partners, working backwards from customer outcomes to design fit-for-purpose solutions and programs across SC&MFG. This role requires expertise in AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI applied to pharmaceutical and life sciences Supply Chain & Manufacturing, paired with experience in professional services and business development. The ideal candidate can flex seamlessly between manufacturing operations and supply chain contexts — understanding both the regulated manufacturing environment (cGMP, GxP) and the planning-to-fulfillment data landscape. You think big, innovate, focus on customer objectives, execute at high standards, and maintain continuous curiosity. Key job responsibilities • Serving as the practice's dedicated specialist and deep domain expert in Supply Chain & Manufacturing — spanning smart manufacturing, IIoT, digital twins, CMC orchestration, and supply chain intelligence — designing and delivering solution architectures that solve complex customer problems across both manufacturing and supply chain • Developing innovative GTM strategies, offerings, and accelerators for the SC&MFG space spanning manufacturing and supply chain — identifying whitespace, shaping new service offerings, and positioning the practice to capture emerging demand across the manufacturing-to-supply-chain continuum • Counseling HCLS executive customers to explore the art of the possible with AI-driven transformation across Supply Chain & Manufacturing — pushing the frontiers of innovation in smart manufacturing, autonomous quality, predictive supply planning, and agentic process orchestration to achieve breakthrough operational outcomes • Collaborating with internal teams to innovate AWS solutions, services, accelerators, and demos that address evolving SC&MFG customer needs — including IIoT edge-to-cloud pipelines, manufacturing data foundations, digital twin architectures, and agentic supply chain systems • Designing complex, scalable, and secure architectures on AWS to achieve customer business outcomes (CBOs) across Manufacturing and Supply Chain — from shop-floor data ingestion and process automation through enterprise-wide supply chain visibility and planning optimization • Driving large, complex opportunities — spanning manufacturing, supply chain, or both — from ideation, through vision building and scoping, solution architecture development, all the way to sales closure — owning technical
