The Access team is the owner of Prime Video's entitlement, ownership, and playability decisions. We power My Stuff, the Play Button, and entitlement indicators across every PV surface globally. We succeed when customers engage with existing benefits, measured by hours per customer and distinct streaming days. We are seeking a Software Development Manager to own the engineering for subscription and video library management. This job will challenge you on any fronts – you will solve technical challenges associated with scaling services, managing large data sets, and maintaining customer security and privacy. You will drive innovation and future solutions that will impact the systems that support customers access to the titles they love. Key job responsibilities You will be responsible for the long term, strategic vision for your team, the day-to-day management of your team's roadmap, and the growth and development of your direct reports. You will also work closely with product, engineering and business colleagues to ensure we are always delivering the right things for customers. A day in the life A typical day will involve attending your team's sprint ceremonies (standups, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings), reviewing operational metrics, one-on-ones with your directs and key stakeholders, and meetings to drive collaboration with partners and establish/deliver on your team's long term vision. You will also help to build an inclusive team culture. Key stakeholders are engineers and managers in other Prime Video teams (notably the Prime Video Catalog org) and partners in product and business teams.
