Deal Manager, Cloud Contracting

The Deal Manager, Cloud Contracting leads the contractual structuring and execution of OpenText Cloud opportunities. The role works closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, Security, Privacy and Cloud Operations to ensure transactions are commercially sound, operationally deliverable, compliant with company policies and aligned with OpenText’s cloud contracting standards.

The role also provides supporting commercial expertise, including pricing guidance, profitability analysis and deal modelling.

• Lead the contractual structuring of new cloud opportunities, renewals and expansions.

• Prepare and support contractual documentation, working closely with Legal and Contracts teams.

• Review customer contractual requirements and deviations from OpenText’s standard cloud terms.

• Lead or support negotiations with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

• Identify contractual, commercial and operational risks, coordinating appropriate review, approval and escalation.

• Translate business requirements into clear, consistent and executable contractual language.

• Advise deal teams on contracting positions, negotiation strategies and fallback options.

• Guide opportunities through the contracting, approval and quote-to-close processes.

• Maintain accurate records of material deviations, commitments and approvals.
