How you’ll make an impact: The Associate General Counsel - Litigation will play a key role in overseeing Sirius XM’s and Pandora’s active litigation and pre-litigation matters—including commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, music licensing proceedings in rate court, and general risk mitigation strategies. This role will coordinate with our internal legal and business teams along with external counsel to develop strategy, mitigate risk and contain cost. We seek a candidate with a strong background in strategy, case management, and risk assessment in commercial litigation cases; experience in music licensing matters is a plus. This role will help to establish and drive enterprise litigation strategy, advise the business on critical matters and shape company-wide principles and governance practices that protect the organization’s long-term interests. What you’ll do: Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation and pre-litigation matters, including consumer protection, commercial and intellectual property claims; class action lawsuits; rate court proceedings and regulatory investigations, from case assessment through resolution. Develop and execute litigation strategies to minimize risk and protect the company’s interests. Oversee discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation in coordination with external counsel. Evaluate settlement opportunities and recommend risk-mitigation strategies to leadership. Serve as a key liaison with outside counsel, ensuring cost-effective and efficient case management. Provide proactive legal counsel on potential disputes and recommend risk-mitigation strategies. Develop and implement policies and procedures to reduce legal exposure and liability.
