About the Role

The Columbia Threadneedle Investments Internship program is designed to provide you with first-hand investment management experience. You will support portfolio management and investment research, contributing directly to the investment process. You will work with an experienced team of portfolio managers and/or analysts who will provide mentorship and opportunities for shadowing.

Key Responsibilities

Build and   maintain   three-statement financial models and earnings forecasts for   leveraged   issuers.   Conduct fundamental credit analysis, including assessment of business risk, industry dynamics, financial performance, capital structure, and covenant protections.   Develop relative value frameworks to compare investment opportunities across issuers, industries, and capital structures.   Prepare credit recommendation memoranda incorporating financial, credit, and relative value analyses for use in evaluating primary and secondary loan market opportunities.   Support portfolio monitoring through earnings reviews, company updates, and ongoing credit surveillance.   Develop an understanding of the bank loan, CLO, and broader fixed income markets through market research, investment discussions, and interaction with portfolio managers and analysts.

Required Qualifications

Pursuing a   bachelor's degree in Finance , Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028. P assionate about the investment management industry and contributing to a successful team environment.
