This is a remote U.S. opportunity with a collaborative leadership team and strong onboarding support. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? Lead and support a team of up to 15 claims adjusters, setting clear expectations and creating a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment. Oversee claims activities, including administration, adjudication, compliance, investigations, and sound claim settlements based on coverage. Use productivity, quality, and service data to identify trends, understand performance barriers, and provide focused coaching and feedback. Manage team workload and help employees meet established service levels in a high-volume claims environment. Resolve non-routine claim escalations and serve as a subject matter resource for departmental processes, procedures, and training. Help employees apply frequent system, product, and process changes through clear communication, refreshers, and ongoing support. Conduct performance reviews, support employee development, resolve workplace conflicts, and foster engagement and continuous improvement. Partner across departments, participate in client meetings and audit reviews as needed, and contribute to special projects and operational improvements. What are the requirements needed for this position? High school diploma or GED. Adjuster license Five or more years of related experience in the function or a similar external activity. Two or more years of leadership experience and/or experience managing people. Attention to detail, advanced investigative skills, and the ability to handle multiple claims efficiently. Advanced communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of people. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to make decisions and influence others. Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and feedback, build relationships, manage change, lead others through change, and empower diverse, winning teams. What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? Experience leading a team of approximately 12 to 15 employees in claims, insurance, warranty, financial services, benefits, or another regulated customer operation. Experience leading remote or geographically distributed employees. Experience using performance and quality data to identify root causes and create targeted coaching or training plans. Experience helping teams adopt automation, AI-enabled workflows, queue-based work assignment, or frequent system releases. Experience delivering training refreshers, process updates, calibrations, or change communications.
