Intermediate, Quality Control Inspector - Level B (Afternoon Shift) Reference # 42411  Toronto, Don Mills , ON     Primary Responsibilities  Internal and External Audits: Participate in the preparation, execution, and assessment of compliance activities related to AS9100D and customer-specific requirements. Quality Management System (QMS) Support: Maintain and support the ongoing effectiveness of the Business Process Management System (BPMS) and conduct Internal Layered Process Audits. Quality Assurance Activities: Lead and support key quality processes, including Material Review Board (MRB) and containment activities but not limited to this aspect. Continuous Improvement: Apply quality tools, data analysis, and risk-based thinking to improve processes, eliminate ambiguity, and enhance the effectiveness of the QMS. Quality Metrics and Reporting: Compile, analyze, and report quality performance data. Develop charts, graphs, dashboards, and quality reports to support decision-making. Standards and Compliance: Stay current with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations impacting the QMS. Inspection and Verification: Perform inspections, tests, and audits of purchased parts, materials, equipment, assemblies, and quality control programs to ensure compliance with specifications. Technical Evaluation: Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and bills of materials to determine acceptance or rejection of in-process and final assemblies. Measurement and Inspection Methods: Utilize visual inspection techniques and precision measurement tools as required. Assist in developing and improving inspection methods and procedures. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to address quality-related issues, communicate nonconformances, and support root cause and corrective action investigations. Training and Mentorship: Provide ongoing coaching and guidance on quality management system requirements and best practices. Develop training materials and support quality-related training initiatives.         Required Capabilities   Self-motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and effective time-management skills. Demonstrated analytical skills with experience in 8D problem-solving methodologies and the ability to coach others in their application. Capable of reading, interpreting, and preparing technical reports while understanding complex technical requirements. Working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, or other applicable quality management system standards. Strong research, investigative, interviewing, and problem-resolution skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Process-oriented mindset with sound auditing and compliance assessment capabilities.
