At our Robinson plant, the Payroll Coordinator supports accurate and timely weekly payroll for hourly employees. You will maintain payroll and timekeeping records, verify data, prepare required documentation, and help apply established pay practices, Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements, company policies, and applicable payroll regulations. This role partners with plant operations and finance, responds to routine employee questions, and escalates issues that require additional review. What will you do?
Support weekly payroll execution: Process routine pay elements and adjustments, enter and verify worked hours, and help ensure payments are completed accurately and on time using SAP Payroll programs.
Maintain timekeeping and payroll data: Audit timecards, reconcile discrepancies with supervisors and plant management, and keep employee rates, schedules, and position classifications current.
Apply payroll requirements: Follow established procedures and apply relevant CBA pay rules, including work classifications, shift differentials, overtime thresholds, deductions, and attendance-related practices.
Prepare records, reports, and audit support: Organize payroll and timekeeping documentation, support Sarbanes-Oxley controls and audits, and prepare payroll registers or ad hoc reports as needed.
Support employees and plant administration: Respond to routine payroll questions using documented guidance, escalate complex issues, support new employee orientation and ID badge creation, and complete related administrative duties. Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience: 0+ years of relevant experience. Payroll, automated time and attendance, or general accounting experience is preferred. SAP Payroll experience is a plus.
Education: Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, including using Excel for analysis and reporting.
