Position Summary
The Premium Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The Premium Bartender must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role pays an hourly rate of $16.94 and is tip eligible. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until December 18, 2026.

The PeoplesBank Arena is Connecticut's premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 15,000-seat downtown arena is home to the eleventh-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses. The PeoplesBank Arena is also home to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. The PeoplesBank Arena entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and many others. Responsibilities
Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards. Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described. Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol. Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available and being able to learn to suggestively upsell products to guests. Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size. Check guest IDs in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required. Listening and responding to any customer requests or concerns. Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations. If a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or
