The AWS RI Operations Team is in need of a driven, analytical, and process-oriented individual to own the creation and processing of Reservation Product transaction requests. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who is excited to escalate systemic issues, identify opportunities for improvement, has experience meeting strict SLAs, is comfortable working from a ticket queue, and has a passion for accuracy. Key job responsibilities - Process and audit Reservation Product transactions such as: cancellations, purchases, migrations, and modifications while adhering to Legal, Security, and Compliance requirements - Occasionally act as escalation point for Reservation Product requests and issues - Investigate data discrepancies, quickly establish root causes, and propose appropriate solutions - Vocally self-critical to allow for self-correction of errors - Communicate effectively across all related channels to ensure transparency of process Basic qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or a related field - 2+ years experience in business analysis and functional roles requiring quantitative, analytical and organizational skills, including intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups) - Experience with Microsoft Excel including the ability to create pivot tables and charts, develop formulas such as SUMIF, and use VLookup formulas Preferred qualifications - Experience working with a queue of requests with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and accuracy targets against Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) - Experience navigating a knowledge base and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Experience performing data analysis and troubleshooting data integrity issues - Occasionally retrieve and evaluate data using Excel and other data management/BI systems A day in the life 1. Process reservation transactions — Work through a ticket queue to action cancellations, purchases, migrations, and modifications of Reserved Instance products, ensuring each request meets Legal, Security, and Compliance requirements within strict SLAs. 2. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies — Identify root causes of transaction errors or mismatches, propose solutions, and self-audit work to maintain accuracy across all processed requests. 3. Escalate systemic issues and drive improvements — Flag recurring patterns or process gaps to leadership, and recommend operational improvements that reduce manual effort or prevent future errors. 4. Communicate and collaborate across channels — Provide transparent status updates on in-flight requests, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and occasionally retrieve and evaluate data in Excel or BI tools to support decision-making.
