Our customized service offerings and world-class service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customer’s laboratory's business needs.    What will you do?     This position directs the daily workflow for a small team under the direction of the site lead and/or supervisor, enabling the team to consistently deliver high levels of customer service in support of our contractual obligations. May oversee service offerings including but not limited to: order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, material handling, and chemical tracking. Effectively lead a diverse cross-functional team of on-site lab specialists. Responsible for complete employee lifecycle management: new hire selection, identification of training needs and solutions, coordinating development training, and employee performance evaluations.    Deliver on committed contractual scope of work. Assist with tracking business metrics.    Act as liaison between customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific; Coordinate onsite vendor escorting and customer visits as the site subject-matter expert, and act as a resource to identify savings and opportunities.   Implement SOPs, conduct site audits, and assist with completion of annual physical inventory.   Drive process improvement culture by supporting Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.   Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, professionally and positively.   Be involved with and support safety programs such as hazard identification, conduct inspections and incident reporting/investigations as required.   May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management    How will you get here?

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.    Associate degree in a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills. Experience     • 4 years of progressive experience in laboratory operations or scientific services environment • Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field • Experience managing small teams and supporting staff development • Strong knowledge of GxP requirements and laboratory safety protocols • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office suite • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to write and maintain SOPs and work instructions • Experience with chemical handling, media preparation, and lab equipment • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Physical ability to lift/push/pull 30-50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods • Willingness to wear required PPE including lab coats, safety glasses, etc. • Ability to work in environments with chemical allergens and varied temperatures • Ability to work flexible hours as needed • Valid driver's license with clean driving record Knowledge, Skills, Abilities     Leadership abilities and interpersonal skills are required to lead and enhance team culture   Strong verbal and written communication skills.
