We are seeking a Manufacturing Factory Planner to drive factory delivery performance through effective production scheduling, capacity planning, work-in-process management, and cross-functional coordination. This role will own the factory’s short- and long-range planning processes, identify and mitigate schedule risks, prioritize constrained resources, and provide factory and program leadership with clear visibility into delivery commitments and capacity. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable making timely decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This candidate will collaborate with factory operations, production control, program leadership, and management.
What You Will Do
Own the monthly 30/60/90-day factory planning process, including coordinating program inputs, leading factory reviews, finalizing monthly goals, Weekly gate planning and tracking execution. Provide guidance to factory management when reviewing, approving, or adjusting long-term Master Production Schedule (MPS) submissions. Communicate schedule decisions, risks, constraints, and required actions to program leadership and production control teams, during tier and other meeting platforms. Provide subject-matter expertise on factory capacity, production schedules, and delivery commitments. Respond to ad-hoc planning and scheduling questions from program and factory leadership. Prioritize factory work in resource-constrained areas to support customer and contractual delivery commitments. Develop weekly production plans and make day-to-day priority decisions as conditions change. Regularly review work-in-process (WIP) status to identify potential schedule issues early and drive them through resolution. Develop and execute expedite plans as required, including detailed review of build processes, resources, and staffing. Identify units requiring hot-lot/Critical Hardware status and obtain appropriate factory management approval. Identify capacity constraints and recommend actions to increase throughput and/or reduce cycle time. Participate in factory tier meetings and provide planning, scheduling, and delivery updates.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of experience . Experience working in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Production, and /or Quality environments.
Qualifications
We Prefer Strong understanding of CMES and Business Warehouse. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience. Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing. Familiarity with Capacity Planning.
