About the role
Cvent’s Platform Services team is looking for a Senior Cloud Systems/Platform Engineer based in India. You’ll work shifted hours to provide morning overlap with the US team, covering day-to-day Linux operations, driving automation initiatives, and taking technical lead ownership on infrastructure and application projects. This is a hands-on role — we want someone who identifies toil and builds solutions, not just executes tickets. In This Role, You Will: Provide Follow-the-Sun Linux operations coverage; monitor, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis. Administer Rocky Linux / RHEL / CentOS systems across on-prem datacenters (SF, CO, Amsterdam) and cloud environments. Design and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for configuration management, patching, and deployments. Manage OS lifecycle and patching using tools such as Foreman, Satellite, or equivalent. Build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines (declarative/Jenkinsfile); integrate automation tooling into release workflows. Manage Git repositories and IaC version control; enforce code review and change management practices. Administer and troubleshoot Java application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat) and web servers (NGINX, Apache). Support workloads in GCP, AWS, and/or Azure; contribute to cloud migration projects.
