Staff Software Development Engineer

Summary   As a Staff Software Development Engineer with CVS Health, you will   participate   on a product team of 6-10 people (engineers, UX designers, and product manager) and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products   to   customers and stakeholders. You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery .    You will also   maintain   a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice .    A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in th is   role.

Work in a collaborative environment, contributing to Agile team   Lead the design of efficient and user-friendly software products to advance and support business needs   Develop frontend and backend code   utilizing   test-driven development     Required Qualifications   7+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design   environment,   preferably in a J2EE development environment   7+ years of Java development experience while   utilizing   Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC   4+ years of experience with frontend development   using   Angular   8+   2+ year s   of experience using Agile concepts such as continuous integration (CI/CD) and test-driven development (TDD)   Familiarity with cloud infrastructure hardware and software such as   Openstack , AWS, GCP,   or   Azure   Strong leadership experience     Preferred Qualifications   Excellent analytical and   problem solving   skills   Excellent written and verbal communication skills     Education   Bachelor's   d egree in   c omputer   s cience ,   information systems, engineering,   or similar   1 year of   professional work   experience   required   for every year of college degree not   completed,   in addition to required years of experience     Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $130,295.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.    Our people fuel our future.
