Position
The Clean Utilities Engineer develops maintenance programs to ensure that Clean Utilities systems operate in a safe and reliable manner. The Clean Utilities Engineer is a Subject Matter Expert for equipment maintenance in their designated area. Responsibilities - Working with technicians and other functions to develop an effective maintenance and reliability program to ensure designated site equipment operates safely and reliably. - Optimise work tasks, ensure spare parts, tools or other services are available when required. - Working closely with Area Managers and the Planner to schedule, oversee job assignments and lead site technicians or contractors as required. - Assist in continuous improvement of Job plans, schedules and SOPs to ensure activities optimized. - Ensuring compliance to all regulatory GMP, Safety and Environmental requirements. - Investigate equipment failures to find root cause and implement effective Corrective and Preventative Actions. - Leading problem solving groups on reoccurring or long term issues. - Providing technical training to colleagues. - Co-ordination with other functional groups to ensure continuous improvement and right first time delivery. - Owning safety investigation, deviation investigations, Quality events and Change controls. - Supporting Reliability Excellence Initiatives by participating in local and corporate programs. - Pursues and uses new technologies and methodologies to improve overall effectiveness of maintenance programs. - Act as support person for maintenance planning function. - Deliver ongoing Continuous improvement to plant and processes for high performing team. - Provide guidance to Reliability Technicians regarding work planning, re-prioritisation and re-assignment of work (during core working hours), as required (e.g. where minimum no. of Technicians for a task is not achievable or if Technicians suffer fatigue and require supervisor guidance). - Perform Safety GEMBA at assigned intervals. Required Competencies - Good organising and planning skills. - Strong leadership and communication skills. Problem solver with a focus on achievement of overall project goals. - Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs. - Ability to anticipate, evaluate and resolve multiple, simultaneous project issues, delays and problems by utilising technical, project management, and business expertise. - Ability to work independently and remotely with minimum direct supervision. - Strong customer relationship management skills. - Strong critical thinking skills, analytical skills & attention to detail. - Ensuring compliance with practices, policies and procedures. - Working knowledge of Maximo or similar CMMS. Required Qualification(s) and Desired Experience - The successful candidate should possess at minimum a Level 8 Engineering related qualification. - 5 years’ experience in similar industry with exposure to maintenance / engineering planning. - Experience of clean utilities equipment, i.e. Water for Injection,
