Your Role Computer Operators at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment.   As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline – performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Lead and oversee daily operations for Mainframe Batch Processing, Console Operations, Mainframe Technical Support, and iSeries environments. Monitor and control complex computer systems, networks, and applications to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. Perform batch operations according to service level agreements (SLAs) and operational procedures. Analyze and troubleshoot first-level incidents, resolving issues or escalating them to the appropriate teams. Provide technical guidance and operational support to teams across Mainframe, Technical Support, iSeries, and MRO environments. Manage daily, weekly, and shift-based schedules to ensure adequate operational coverage. Coordinate staffing and workload distribution for batch streams and LPAR coverage. Required Technical and Professional Expertise 4 years of experience in As400/iSeries Batch Operations Experience with scheduling software, reporting, and logging Proficient with Operating Systems Experience with Troubleshooting, Backup/Recovery and Basic Networking Required Technical and Professional Expertise Strong experience in Mainframe Operations, Batch Processing, Console Operations, and Infrastructure Support. Experience with ITSM/Remedy ticketing systems and incident management processes. Strong understanding of SLA management and operational governance. Proven ability to lead Sev1/Sev2 incident management and SWAT calls. Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
