As a Backend Software Developer within Digital Advice, you will play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing high-visibility client-facing applications that support a rapidly growing customer base. This opportunity offers the chance to work with modern technologies, including .NET Core and C#, while contributing to solutions that directly impact how clients engage with Schwab’s digital wealth management experiences. You will collaborate across engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for clients and the business. What you have Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in software engineering, backend development, or application development using C# and .NET technologies. Demonstrated experience applying Backend Development skills to design, build, test, and maintain scalable software solutions. Experience supporting application maintenance activities and ensuring operational reliability of production systems. Ability to monitor and support data pipelines and data stores used for analytics, reporting, or machine learning workloads. Experience independently troubleshooting incidents and collaborating across teams to minimize business impact and restore services. Demonstrated proficiency in Software Testing practices to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance. Experience working in Agile environments using roadmaps, epics, user stories, and backlogs to prioritize delivery outcomes. Knowledge of Information Security principles and implementing security controls within software applications and technology environments. Experience applying software design principles, patterns, and development best practices to meet business and technical requirements. Experience developing, validating, and maintaining software components throughout the software development lifecycle. Experience deploying and supporting applications using containerization and orchestration technologies. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience developing enterprise-scale applications in financial services or other highly regulated environments. Experience analyzing moderately complex problems, identifying trends, and translating
