About this role
Enable clients to trade cleared products globally by delivering reliable margin, collateral, and settlement support across exchanges and CCPs. Drive a strong client service and controls culture through accurate execution, break resolution, and continuous improvement. As a Client Service Specialist within Equities Operations – Global Clearing Operations, you support Futures & Options and OTC cleared derivatives by managing collateral movements and settling margin obligations across clients and Central Counterparties. You execute cash funding, FX processing, reconciliations, and break resolution while ensuring timely settlements and preventing deficits. You maintain a controlled environment through procedure adherence, issue escalation, audit support, and participation in process improvements and strategic STP initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Manage client collateral and monitor movements across cash, securities, and letters of credit to support margin obligations. Respond to client margin settlement requests by comparing to exposure and agreeing amounts and eligible assets to be moved. Settle trades and margin obligations with exchanges, clients, and CCPs, following up on failed settlements to closure. Fund exchange cash accounts and process client FX transactions accurately to meet daily cutoffs. Prevent payment-driven deficits by monitoring balances and coordinating resolution of counterparty issues and breaks. Reconcile cash/collateral records, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting and root-cause analysis for recurring issues. Improve controls and processes by updating procedures, supporting audits/investigations, and contributing to STP and change initiatives. Required qualifications, skills and capabilities Operations experience in OTC derivatives and/or Futures & Options, or similar clearing/markets operations background Working knowledge of client service, cash funding, global settlements, and reconciliations Strong analytical/problem-solving capability with high accuracy, attention to detail, and strong Excel and core systems proficiency Strong communication skills, ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure, and confidence to challenge when controls may be compromised Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities Experience supporting collateral types and workflows (cash, securities, letters of credit) and non-cash collateral settlements Experience handling operational investigations, audit requirements, and procedure governance in a controlled environment Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and supporting strategic STP initiatives and complex change requests Interest or hands-on exposure to digital automation tools su ch as Alteryx
