Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development of advanced military systems. This position is well suited for an engineer with a broad electrical engineering foundation, hands-on interest in circuit design and hardware development, and a desire to continue expanding their technical depth. The successful candidate will contribute to electrical design, analysis, integration, and test activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Work may include schematic development, circuit analysis and simulation, component selection, PWB design support, board bring-up, laboratory testing, and troubleshooting. For candidates interested in developing further in the RF domain, this position will also provide opportunities to gain increasing exposure to RF/microwave circuit design, analysis, simulation, integration, and test. Roles and Responsibilities Design, analyze, and test electrical circuits and hardware for military applications. Develop and review electrical schematics using electronic design and schematic-capture tools. Perform circuit analysis, simulation, component selection, and design verification. Support PWB layout and work with board designers to implement electrical design requirements. Support board bring-up, hardware integration, laboratory testing, and troubleshooting. Identify and resolve board- and system-level electrical performance, interface, component, and integration issues. Support RF/microwave design and analysis activities involving RF signal paths, amplifiers, filters, switches, transmission lines, impedance matching, and frequency-conversion circuitry. Support electrical and RF testing using applicable laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and other test equipment. Collaborate with electrical, RF, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Document designs, analyses, test results and support technical reviews and program milestones. This position may be filled at the Electrical Engineer 2 or 3 level, based on the candidate’s qualifications, including education and relevant experience . Basic Qualifications for Electrical Engineer (Level 2) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (clearance not required to start) Fundamental understanding of electrical circuit design and hardware development Experience developing, analyzing, or interpreting electrical schematics through professional work, internships, research, or academic engineering projects Familiarity with schematic-capture, circuit-simulation, or other electrical CAD tools Understanding of electronic components and ability to read and interpret component datasheets
