As an Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL , you will provide Assembly Manufacturing Engineer support and troubleshooting for current operations in the S7 feeders assembly and weld business unit . In addition, you will:
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects impacting safety and ergonomics, process quality, and manufacturing efficiency for the department. Establish sequence of events (SOE), work center layouts, torque tools, assembly fixturing, and Operator Methods Sheets (OMS) for current operations. Work with SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to perform engineering functions and develop manufacturing process controls.

Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality. Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. Self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks autonomously. Problem solving mindset with a bias toward taking action. Ability to work off shifts and overtime as business needs require. Understanding of manufacturing processes and experience working in a production environment. Experience with shop floor documentation (SOE, Labor Standards, and OMS). Experience working in a union environment. Experience with utilizing MES systems for process controls. Experience with smart tooling (Atlas Copco, IR, Panasonic, etc.), or emerging manufacturing technologies (CVML, digital tools, process automation) Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools. Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent related work experience.
