Job Location: Polar Speed UPS, Site 2 Chartmoor Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 4WG Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 40 to 48 hours per week Salary: £27,118 PA based on 40 hours, £13.04 per hour, £32,548 P/A based on 48 hours. Optional weekend and bank holiday working is paid at £19.56 per hour. London allowances up to £26 per day route dependent Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities: Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle Conducting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit on vehicle Reporting any issues found on the vehicle checks to the line manager prior to despatch Ensure the vehicle is always at the correct temperature Delivery and collection of pharmaceutical consignments to addresses including GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients Physical checking and scanning of all consignments at the delivery point Communicating all operational delays or delivery failures as soon as possible to the team leaders and line manager Correct completion of EPOD/driver Manifest/collection/refusal paperwork Managing the returns process of all consignments Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, including cabs and chambers Maintain the cleanliness of the company uniform and ensure corect PPE is worn, i.e. safety shoes and Hi Viz Vests Ensure a valid driving licence is maintained and communication of any new offences are reported as soon as possible Specialized Knowledge and Requirements: Minimum Category B Driving licence with ideally no more than 3 points essential Previous experience in temperature controlled multi drop deliveries desired but not essential Previous experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact Previous home and/or hospital delivery experience preferred but not essential Team player mentality with the ability to work on own initiative and influence others Good communication and collaboration skills across various departments in the network Appreciate the need for maintaining confidentiality * Please note, for successful candidates, Polar Speed UPS will run an enhanced DBS check, and minimum 3 years referencing checks* Employee Type:   Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
