Skills and Competencies Developing analytical and problem-solving skills, with interest in operational controls, business processes, and business analysis Ability to execute assigned work, follow established standards, and deliver accurate outputs within agreed timelines with appropriate guidance Working knowledge of structured data analysis using SQL and/or Python; familiarity with R or statistical analysis concepts is helpful Practical experience with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI, plus strong Excel skills; exposure to Jira, Access, or similar workflow/data tools is a plus Ability to support data extraction, preparation, transformation, and validation activities across multiple data sources; exposure to Alteryx , data pipelines, or workflow automation is advantageous Foundational understanding of data quality, documentation, routine checks, and control-minded analysis to support reliable dashboards and reporting outputs Curiosity about modern analytics practices, including automation, AI-enabled productivity tools, and scalable reporting solutions, with an interest in learning how AI can improve processes and drive efficiency. Awareness of responsible AI practices, including data governance, risk management, and ethical use, is preferred Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings, ask thoughtful questions, and translate data issues into practical business language Organized, collaborative, detail oriented, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, seek feedback, and contribute positively within a team environment Education Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field preferred Up to two years of related work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, operations, finance, or a related field Responsibilities The Associate Data Analyst supports data analysis, dashboard development, data quality activities, and process improvement efforts that advance the Moody's Ratings (MR) Business Intelligence and Process Measurement strategy. This role helps provide reliable insights and reporting that drive informed decisions and improve the end-to-end credit rating process Analyze data and develop Tableau dashboards to identify trends, patterns, risks, and performance metrics that support visibility into the end-to-end credit rating process Prepare, validate, and reconcile data to support accurate, reliable, and actionable reporting Execute routine data quality and refresh checks to ensure dashboards and reporting outputs remain accurate, consistent, and available as expected Assist in investigating data and dashboard issues by documenting findings and supporting root cause analysis and resolution efforts Identify opportunities to improve data workflows, dashboard reporting, documentation, operational controls,
