Lead Pharmacy Technician Location: The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus excellent benefits We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team at The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, The Harborne Hospital delivers a wide range of specialist services including oncology, haematology, rheumatology, cardiology and gastroenterology, supporting adult patients across complex care pathways. As a key member of the Pharmacy Team, you will provide leadership and operational oversight of core pharmacy services, working closely with the Pharmacy Leadership Team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, innovative and patient-focused service. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day running of pharmacy operations while helping to shape and implement service developments that enhance the experience and outcomes of our patients and service users. This role combines operational leadership with people management responsibilities. You will lead, support and develop the technical workforce, helping to ensure the team has the skills, knowledge and resources required to deliver an exceptional service. Working collaboratively across the department, you will foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development and operational excellence. You will also contribute to departmental performance through the analysis and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), audit outcomes and financial data, using insights to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Through your leadership, you will help ensure pharmacy services remain efficient, responsive and aligned with the evolving needs of the hospital. What you’ll bring: Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC Significant post-qualification experience working within a hospital pharmacy Prior experience supervising and/or mentoring junior members of staff Experience leading or supporting operational pharmacy services within a hospital setting Experience contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives Why HCA UK?
