JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanical Integration Engineer is responsible for defining factory level mechanical and thermal solutions that enable the setup, expansion, and optimization of greenfield and brownfield Jabil owned manufacturing facilities in addition to product support. This role leads early phase factory design by scoping, specifying, and integrating mechanical and cooling systems, mimicking data center infrastructure functionality where required, and translating product and process requirements into scalable factory architectures that support efficient facility setup, equipment deployment and long term manufacturing readiness. The position also includes leading test process implementation and equipment selection to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence and reliability. LOCATION India - Remote ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design of factory level mechanical and cooling architectures, leveraging hyperscale data center design principles to define scalable, resilient infrastructure for Jabil manufacturing facilities Design and integrate air cooled and water cooled chiller plants, dry coolers, heat rejection systems, and associated hydronic distribution networks. Define cooling plant performance requirements including capacity, redundancy (N, N+1, 2N), efficiency, availability, and scalability. Partner with electrical, controls, and operations teams to ensure cooling systems meet availability, resilience, and operational excellence targets. Act as a subject matter expert for single phase and two phase liquid cooling technologies used in hyperscale data centers. Architect and integrate rack level, row level, and facility based liquid cooling systems, including CDUs, manifolds, and heat exchangers. Define operational requirements for LC infrastructure, including pressure ratings, temperature envelopes, flow uniformity, materials compatibility, and long term durability. Ensure seamless thermal and mechanical integration between facility cooling plants and high density IT liquid cooling loops. Review and approve mechanical designs, CAD models, and technical data packages for compliance with system level requirements. Own component selection for piping, valves, fittings, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling equipment based on fluid type, pressure, temperature, corrosion resistance, and lifecycle cost. Develop and release Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation for production and deployment. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices (ASME, ISO, applicable building and pressure vessel codes). Perform or oversee thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical analyses, including flow modeling, pressure drop, and stress evaluation. Define and lead system level and component level testing, including leak testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, and performance validation. Evaluate test and field data to confirm conformance to thermo mechanical requirements and drive design improvements. Lead design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) efforts for liquid cooling hardware and assemblies. Optimize manufacturing and installation processes for large scale copper, stainless steel, and aluminum piping systems. Manage technical relationships with cooling equipment OEMs, contract manufacturers, and fabrication partners. Support deployment, commissioning, and early life issue resolution for data center cooling
