This role will offer you the following daily challenges: As a Proposal Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex supplier proposals within the Space Business Area of Lockheed Martin (LM). • Create LM Space proposals, cost and pricing data , and all other factors provided in support of the proposal. • Confer with suppliers and analyze supplier operations to determine factors that affect price. • Confer with LM Buyers and Technical Evaluators to ensure analysis accurately reflects findings. • Prepare reports and charts that present findings, and support supplier negotiations as needed. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office. Basic Qualifications To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, 5+ years of professional experience, Previous professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management), Demonstrated ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles, Demonstrated ability to conduct fact-finding exercises as needed to review basis of price/cost trends and development of key cost indicators, Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Excel. Desired Skills To be successful, ideally, you should also have: Self-motivated, takes initiative Highly developed critical thinking and problem solving skills. Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate departmental and program messages effectively to both LM personnel, as well as the customer. Proven ability to operate in a fast paced environment. Detail oriented.
