Transport Porter Location: Coatbridge Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (40 hours per week) Salary: £12.96ph Summary of Role Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Transport Porter to join our Coatbridge Distribution Centre. Supporting our wholesale distribution services across Europe, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are accurately sorted, routed, and loaded for delivery. Working as part of a busy transport operation, you will help maintain service levels by ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

Accurately check orders and totes against route documentation and drop sheets. Identify, record, and report any missing orders or totes to the Line Manager. Allocate orders and totes to the correct pallet or route cage. Prioritise orders according to vehicle departure schedules. Load vehicles safely and accurately in line with operational instructions. Ensure all bins, boxes, bags, pallets, and cages are handled and stored safely. Follow load security procedures to ensure goods remain secure during transit. Sort and organise empty totes in designated locations. Safely transfer orders to loading bays in preparation for dispatch. Carry out re-picks of missing orders when required. Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site standards. Support with additional warehouse and transport tasks as directed by management. . Skills and Knowledge Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload. Good communication skills and a team-focused approach. Ability to follow processes and instructions consistently. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards. Desirable Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, transport, or distribution environment. Experience loading and unloading vehicles safely. Understanding of warehouse Health & Safety requirements. Experience working to delivery schedules and operational deadlines.
